Family and friends today we enjoy
With laughs and giggles
As gifts are deployed
Snacks and good food
And wonderful smells
Of pine trees and cinnamon
And old stories we tell
Today is most special
Of all days of the year
Felt by so many
Around our huge sphere
But here in the Keys
It is a little bit odd
Cuz when Santa lands
And gives Rudolph his nod
He doesn’t fly off
Of a roof full of snow
And there isn’t a chimney
Row after row
But he finds his way in
We we still feel the joy
And gifts are still there
For all girls and boys
And instead of us having
A hot toddy to drink
We have a cold beer
Or what ever we think
Will cool us down
And not warm us up
What ever it is
It won’t be in a cup
We’ll be wearing
Our regular shorts and our T’s
Cuz that’s Xmas living
Here in the Keys
