Ribbon Of Life

A prospect I call the ribbon of life
It goes something like this
Things are always changing
It varies from rough to bliss
You never know what’s going to happen
You only know life will
Give you opportunity and grief
So please just learn this skill
To visualize how ribbons bend
Floating wide within the flow
To take a turn it has to twist
So tight it’s hard to know
If it can straighten out again
And take in all the beams
That are always there to offer
To help fulfill your dreams
It has to make it’s twists and turns
To move through time and space
But the crunched part of the ribbon’s flow
Is not the ribbon’s base
It has to turn to spread it’s berth
It’s so much fun to see
The beauty and the joy in it
And this part is the key
Your life too has twists and turns
We all know that it’s true
There are no wrong decisions
Each one just takes you to
A new bend in your ribbon of life
Of where you want to be
Building on each other
A ribbon’s life of glee
